The sun shines endless here. And after sundown you will enjoy the millions of stars you
can count in the sky without a binocular ... You have to experience it to truly understand the attraction of Bodrum.

seasons - 4 reasons for Bodrum
Beeing asked often, how is the weather in Bodrum all year around - I have to answer: "just
perfect".
Living in the mediterranean now for more than fifteen years - I have to confess, Bodrum has the best climate I
have experienced. No humidity and six months non-stop sunshine (May - October) with not one drop of rain. No wonder
the old Greeks and Romans liked it so much here as well.
How is the winter then, people insist and have to answer, "here is no winter". Frost and snow never touches
the Aegean. And the Turkish word for autumn explains it the best: »Sonbahar« (second spring).

With sea temperatures ranging from 16 to 25 degrees between summer and winter, Bodrum is a great
location for diving holiday at any time of the year.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Although known mostly as a summer holiday destination, Bodrum is becoming increasingly popular with visitors
in the other seasons. The reasons are many, but probably foremost is the chance to enjoy its attractions more intimately
by avoiding the hubbub of high season. Unlike many holiday resorts Bodrum does not close its shutters at summer’s
end but continues an active though less frenetic life of its own. The colorful bazaars are open on their scheduled
days, temperatures pleasant and local people have more time for each visiting guest.
Spring
The scent of citrus blossoms fills the air, the hills and valleys are green with vegetation and the cool, sunny
days are ideal for hiking and sightseeing. The bustle of the boatyards launching yachts is a fascinating attraction
and even Children’s Day (April 23rd) festivities are creative, worthy of this cosmopolitan town.
Autumn
Autumn begins with the Bodrum Cup Traditional Wooden Yacht Regatta held annually in the third a hundred stately
wooden yachts under full canvas is a sight to behold and it’s a good time to sail.
The sea is still enticingly warm for swimming and it’s a pleasure to visit historical and natural sites in the
cool weather – or to buy up bargains at end-of-season sales!
Winter
Home to a large international community, Bodrum celebrates both Christmas and New Year with gusto, revelers from
all over the country making New Year’s Eve a memorable "happening". Snow is unknown, but most hotels
are heated to take off the chill. Camel wrestling is the prime season attraction (beginning January) and tangerine
orchards resplendent with a profusion of fruit are worth the palette and brush of a painter.
